As a Patron you will have exclusive access to Chatsworth, the collections and the curatorial and management team via the events programme. These give an insight into how Chatsworth is looked after and an opportunity to delve into the depths of the Devonshire Collections which are brought to life by the knowledge and passion of the Chatsworth staff.

Join our Head of Operations, Rob Harrison, on a tour of the Chatsworth Clock Tower situated in the Stables Courtyard. Learn how our team care for the buildings and structures within the estate and how your support helps Chatsworth House Trust.
Year of Play – Picturing Childhood

We invite you for a curator-led tour of the 2024 exhibition at Chatsworth – Picturing Childhood. Join Gill Hart, Head of Learning and Engagement, to explore childhood through major historical periods, from Tudor to the present day.

Discover the mind of Henry Cavendish, 18th-century scientist and thinker. Project Archivist Erinna Cave will present her work examining the never-before catalogued papers of the grandson of the 2nd Duke. She will tell the story of this shy genius and his discoveries in electricity, gases and heat, culminating in his greatest experiment: measuring the mass of the Earth itself.
The talk will be illustrated by Henry’s own manuscripts and instruments.

Join the landscape and learning and engagement teams for a historic waterways walk in the Chatsworth Parkland. Discover the importance of water to the estate and how the many lakes, rivers and water features are managed now in the 21st Century.
Music and Poetry at Chatsworth

Postgraduate Researcher and pianist Elizabeth French returns to Chatsworth taking an in depth look at Georgiana, Duchess of Devonshire. The evening will include poetry and readings as well as listening to music scores written by Georgiana.
