Chatsworth House Trust was established in 1981 to look after the house, collections, garden, woodlands, and park for the benefit of everyone. Every penny of visitor admission income is reinvested into the charity.
Located within the Peak District National Park, Chatsworth comprises a Grade I listed house and stables, a 105-acre garden, a 1,822-acre park and a farmyard and adventure playground. As the home of the Devonshire family, Chatsworth also houses one of Europe’s most significant private art collections.
Chatsworth plays an important role in the local community as a thriving cultural and educational destination, a nationally important historic landscape, and a working estate that operates with a mindful approach to the environment and sustainability.

How you can support Chatsworth
There are many ways you can support us – as an individual or an organisation – and you can explore these below.
Add Gift Aid
When you use Gift Aid, the government gives an extra 25% on top of your kind donation, in lieu of tax you have already paid. It is a rare opportunity to decide how your tax is spent, and all of this money goes directly to the work of Chatsworth House Trust.
Become a Friend
Become a Friend and support the charity, while enjoying unlimited visits to the house, garden, farmyard and playground, discounts and much more.
Become a Patron
Patrons play a vital role in supporting the long-term stewardship of Chatsworth and enjoy exclusive access to the collections and the curatorial team via special events.
Corporate support
Our corporate opportunities offer a fantastic platform to create an in-depth relationship with one of the most popular stately homes in the UK.
Chatsworth in America
Chatsworth in America, Inc. - a US non-profit corporation- was set up by and for Americans with an interest in the historic significance of Chatsworth.
Make a donation
We rely on income from visitors and supporters to undertake an ever expanding programme of essential conservation and maintenance at Chatsworth. Each year, the work required is always far in excess of what the charity can support.
If you are able to, please donate today and help us to protect Chatsworth for future generations.
Thank you.
